If you saw my last blog post it was all about my new weight loss goal. If you want to check it out you can read it HERE. As part of that post I mentioned my mini goals series #ode2fitnessgoals. Each week I’m going to set myself a smaller mini goal to hopefully help on my weight loss journey but also to aid my overall health and well-being.

This week my mini goal is simply to drink more water. HydrationSince Emilia has got older I’ve definitely been guilty of not taking in enough H20. I’ll be honest having to coax a toddler upstairs whilst I go to the loo is no fun. It was easier just to drink less. Unfortunately that’s not the best solution. Hydration is such an important part of a healthy lifestyle.

There are so many benefits to drinking more water it may help to reduce sugar cravings, lead to increased energy levels, improve skin, aid bowel function and improve concentration. Also we often mistake thirst for hunger so keeping our water topped up may help us eat a little less.

With all that in mind my aim this week is to drink at least 1.5 litres a day. In line with this I want to cut down on coffee including decaf. So my question is are you going to join me?
