I like to think I look after my body quite well. I lift weights; do my cardio and> throw in some yoga for flexibility. But I am not that hot on relaxation and> recovery, or taking time for me. So when the guys at Bali Health Lounge offered me the chance to test out their facilities and> one of their treatments I jumped at the chance.
An award winning spa based in Chinatown, Manchester City Centre Bali Health Lounge’s philosophy of helping people to lead a healthier lifestyle with less stress and> more relaxation is the perfect fit for my blog. Having never visited before I didn’t know what to expect, but was impressed from the moment I arrived. A beautifully calming oasis I felt relaxed straight away. Guided towards one of the seating areas I was offered a drink and> given a quick but in depth consultation form to complete. Waiting for my therapist I looked around the spa and> can see why they have won awards. Bali Health Lounge is very well decorated modern but traditional, clean but not clinical it’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing morning.
Anna my therapist was with me promptly and> I was led up another 2 flights of stairs (this place is huge) to the treatment room. Anna explained the treatment; I had opted for their signature deep tissue full body massage. This massage is tailored to specifically alleviate areas of tension and> stress using deep tissue techniques. As I had done a weights session the day before Anna explained that on my legs in particular she may not be able to work as deeply into the muscles as normal. Muscles are more vulnerable after a workout so I will bear this in mind next time. However the massage was the perfect pressure. I was amazed by how tight my muscles were, but also by how great they felt afterwards.
Whilst I would highly recommend the massages at Bali Health Lounge they offer a range of other treatments as well. Treatments include Facials, Healing Therapies and> Beauty Therapies, such as non-surgical face lifts and> hair removal. They also offer a membership option which I think is a great idea. Massage in particular is so beneficial for everyone, but especially when you train hard. The membership option offers the best value way to enjoy their treatments. Offering either a 60 minute massage or Elemis facial every month it is the perfect escape from our busy lives.
I can’t wait for my next treatment, to find out more or book in visit: https://www.balihealthlounge.com/
