In the staff room at the gym recently I walked into a conversation between 2 of the Personal Trainers, they were discussing body image and> if anyone is ever really happy! It got me thinking and> I wanted to share my thoughts with you all!

In my honest opinion we are never entirely happy with ourselves and> it’s really sad. You say you’ll be happy if you lose a stone, but when you lose it you will still want more. Your body is always going to be a work in progress in my opinion and> we have to learn to love it no matter where we are in our journey. Hence the hashtag #progressnotperfection This sums it up for me so well, and> is something I always have in the back of my mind.

For me, I am generally happy with my body and> where I am at but there are still areas I want to improve and> I think there always will be. Fitness should be a journey, and> a journey you enjoy. It shouldn’t alway be about the hard slog. We all have good days, weeks or even months and> we all have bad ones but you know what that’s ok! As long as the general trend is going in the right direction your doing ok!

Think about what you love about your body now, and> always keep that in your mind. Our bodies are amazing things and> we should embrace that! And remember It’s not about being perfect, it’s about making progress!
