So this week was my last week on my 12 week plan with Becca Smith, it’s been tough but I am really proud of what I have achieved and> what I’ve learnt from it.

So here are the results, I’ve lost 6.3kg, 4 inches from my waist, 3 from my hips and> 3 inches from my thighs.

The training has been really tough, I’ve pushed myself to the edge at times both physically and> mentally but I did it.  I only missed one workout over the whole 12 weeks and> this was due to illness, and> it was definitely the best thing for me to do at the time.  I am so proud of myself for this. In the past I have always been quite quick to skip workouts and> only push myself so far, this showed me that I can do more and> that it really is your mind you have to convince.  Training so consistently is definitely more mental, I found it emotionally draining at times having to hit the gym 5 times a week. I was squeezing in workouts where previously I wouldn’t have done, and> going into the gym on my days off to train. (I work in the gym I train at!) At times I could have given up but I didn’t and> I’m impressed with myself for that!

It hasn’t all been plain sailing, especially when it came to eating! I love my food and> eating the same thing most days really became tough.  I tried to stick to the plan as much as I could but my life got in the way occasionally! Unexpected celebrations, days out and> illness meant I had more than my one off plan meal some weeks! But as this plan was for my own benefit, I don’t have a competition I’m prepping for or a specific end goal I feel OK about it.  Life is all about balance, could I have got better results if I’d stuck to the eating plan 100% – possibly, do I regret going off plan more than I should have done – NO!

If you read my post back when I made the decision to embark on a plan with Becca –“Investment in Myself” you will remember I mentioned that one of the main reasons I was doing this was to get some motivation back for training and> that I did.  I have my wedding and> honeymoon booked for next year, and> 12 weeks ago I felt like I was on a backward track with my fitness.  Becca has changed all that –  I  now feel like I have much more focus, and> determination.  I know I have what it takes to get results, and> I’m in a much better place than I was.

Thanks again to Becca for all her support throughout the 12 weeks, she has helped re-motivate when things weren’t quite going as well as I’d hoped – and> put my progress into perspective for me.
